Where It All Began

​​Kent Event Packages was not born from a business plan. It came from a lifelong passion for music, entertainment and creating unforgettable experiences.

​

My journey in the events industry began long before Kent Event Packages existed — in fact, it started when I was just two years old.

​

Growing up in the Jersey, Channel Islands, my father was a DJ, and from a very young age I would go along with him while he worked. Some of my earliest memories are of being around the music, watching him prepare for events and experiencing the atmosphere that came with bringing people together through entertainment. He would DJ at venues including The Mumford Club in Jersey, and although I was far too young to understand where that experience would eventually lead, those early years planted a seed that would stay with me for life.

Music became part of who I was.

​

As I grew older, that fascination developed into a genuine passion for DJing. What began with watching my father behind the decks eventually became something I wanted to pursue for myself. More than 25 years ago, I started DJing professionally, and what was initially a passion gradually became a career that has taken me to events across the UK and around the world.

 

Over the years, I have had the privilege of performing in some incredible destinations and environments — from Marbella and Ibiza-style events to Val d’Isère, Zante and Australia, as well as countless weddings, private parties and corporate events closer to home.

But DJing also taught me something that would ultimately shape Kent Event Packages.

​

I realised that people rarely remember an event because everything simply went according to a checklist. They remember how it felt.

​

They remember walking into a beautifully transformed venue. They remember the moment the music changed and the entire dance floor came alive. They remember the entertainment, the atmosphere, the little details and, most importantly, how effortless the whole experience felt.

​

And that led me to another realisation.

There Had To Be A Better Way

Having spent years working within the events industry, I saw first-hand how stressful organising a wedding, party or corporate event could become.

​

Clients were often having to deal with multiple suppliers — one for the DJ, another for lighting, another for a photo booth, another for the dance floor, another for the bar, another for décor — all while trying to coordinate everything themselves.

​

I saw friends and family going through exactly the same thing.

​

Instead of enjoying the excitement of planning their event, they were becoming overwhelmed by emails, suppliers, timings, logistics and trying to make sure everything came together on the day.

​

That was the moment the idea for Kent Event Packages began to take shape.

​

I wanted to create something different.

​

Rather than simply being another DJ company or another events supplier, I wanted to bring together the elements that make an event genuinely memorable — exceptional entertainment, beautiful production, atmosphere, attention to detail and professional coordination — under one roof.

​

So in 2018, Kent Event Packages was born.

From the beginning, the ambition was never to become the biggest events company or to take on as many bookings as possible.

​

It was to become known for doing things exceptionally well.

​

That philosophy still runs through everything we do today.

​

We believe in quality over quantity. We would rather deliver a smaller number of genuinely outstanding events than fill our diary with events where we cannot give our clients the level of care and attention they deserve.

​

Every event is different, and every client has their own vision. Our role is to understand that vision, bring the right elements together and create something that feels personal rather than packaged.

After more than 25 years behind the decks, I have experienced almost every type of event imaginable.

​

I've seen packed dance floors, intimate celebrations, huge corporate productions and weddings where the smallest details have meant the most.

 

I've seen what works, what doesn't, and — perhaps most importantly — what separates an event that is simply good from one that people are still talking about years later.

​

That experience is something we bring into every Kent Event Packages event.

​

The company may have started in 2018, but the experience behind it started much earlier — with a two-year-old boy following his father into a DJ booth in Jersey and becoming fascinated by the music, atmosphere and energy of bringing people together.

​

I could never have imagined then that those early experiences would eventually become my career, or that decades later I would be creating unforgettable events of my own.

​

Kent Event Packages is the result of that journey.
